<p>The <strong>University of Toronto</strong> is the largest University in Canada and recognized as a global leader in research and teaching.  The university was founded by Royal Charter in 1827 as King&#8217;s College, the first institution of higher learning in the colony of Upper Canada. Originally controlled by the Church of England, the university assumed the present name in 1850 upon becoming a secular institution.</p>

<p>U of T lies about 2 kilometres north of the Financial District in Downtown Toronto, and immediately south of the neighbourhoods of Yorkville and The Annex. The University of Toronto grounds encompasses 71 hectares (176 acres) bounded mostly by Bay Street, Bloor Street, Spadina Avenue and College Street. The site of the university is on the grounds that surround Queen&#8217;s Park .</p>
<p>The University of Toronto, ranks among Canada?s top medical doctoral universities, and also ranks in the top 30 universities around the world by several magazines. In the University of Toronto?s long history, it has educated the likes of Governors Generals, Prime Ministers of Canada, foreign leaders, Justices of the Supreme Court, and has been affiliated with Nobel laureates.</p>

<p>At the University of Toronto, students, faculty and staff study, work and live on three campuses. <p>U of T Mississauga&#8217;s comprehensive offerings include: an array of language courses in Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, French, German, Italian, Sanskrit, Hindi and Urdu; innovative programs in communications, culture and information technology; and Canada?s first university forensic science program.</p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">By Car</span></strong></p>
<p>The St. George campus is located in downtown Toronto. It spans several city blocks, stretching approximately north from College Street, east from Spadina Avenue, south from Bloor Street and west from Bay Street. The campus is accessible via the Gardiner Expressway and the Don Valley Parkway, which connect Toronto with Ontario?s 400-series highways.</p>
<p>If you are travelling eastbound on the Gardiner Expressway, you can choose any one of three exit ramps located at Spadina Avenue, York Street and Bay Street.</p>
<p>If you are travelling southbound on the Don Valley Parkway, take the Bloor/Bayview exit ramp (use the Bloor Street lane).</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">By Subway TTC</span></strong></p>
<p>There are four subway stations near the St. George campus:</p>
<p>St. George (at Bloor Street and St. George Street)<br />

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">By Streetcar TTC </span></strong></p>
<p>There are two streetcar routes that pass by campus:</p>
<p>The 510 Spadina streetcar runs along Spadina Avenue from Spadina subway station, along the western edge of the campus.</p>
<p>The 506 Carleton streetcar runs along College Street, along the southern part of the campus. You can catch the 506 from College station and Queen?s Park station on the north-south Yonge-University-Spadina line.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">By Bus TTC </span></strong></p>
<p>There is one bus that runs through campus:</p>
<p>Catch the 94 Wellesley bus from Castle Frank subway station (Bloor-Danforth line), Wellesley subway station (at Wellesley Street and Yonge Street on the Yonge-University line), or Ossington station (Bloor-Danforth line.)</p>

<p><strong>Glendon Campus</strong></p>
<p>Glendon College, a bilingual liberal arts faculty which conducts its own recruitment and admissions and hosts its own academic programs, is also housed on its own campus on Bayview Avenue in North Toronto. Glendon is the only university-level institution in Southern Ontario that offers university courses in both French and English. A shuttle bus runs regularly between the Glendon and the Keele campuses.</p>

<p>The university offers many specialized programs which are unique in Canada across its 5 faculties, including the largest undergraduate business program in Canada by enrolment, which includes approximately 700 full time faculty members, 21 000 undergraduate and 700 Ryerson graduate students.  </p>
<p>In addition to offering full-time and part-time undergraduate and graduate programs leading to Bachelor&#8217;s, Master&#8217;s and Doctoral degrees, the university also offers part time degrees, distance education and certificates through its The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education, which has annual enrollment of over 65,400 students.</p>

<p>Ryerson is divided into a number of faculties. The major faculties at Ryerson University are;</p>
<p><strong>Faculty of Arts</strong></p>
<p>The Faculty of Arts comprises 10 humanities and social science departments and plays a unique dual role in the University. The Faculty offers:</p>

<p><strong>Faculty of Community Services</strong></p>

The rich curriculum of multi-disciplinary programs in health, early childhood education, social justice and community development is closely connected to the spirit and the dynamism of the community.</p>
<p><strong>Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Science</strong></p>
<p>The Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Science (FEAS) is one of the largest faculties of its kind in Canada with more than 4,400 undergraduate students enrolled in 15 undergraduate programs, and over 800 students in 13 graduate programs.</p>
<p>The FEAS grants Bachelor of Architectural Science, Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Engineering degrees in 17 programs.</p>
<p>Students can choose to specialize in the following disciplines: Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Medical Physics, Applied Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Architecture, Project Management and Building Science.</p>
<p><strong>Ted Rogers School of Management</strong></p>
<p>Located on Bay Street, in the heart of Toronto&#8217;s business community, the Ted Rogers School of Management at Ryerson University is Canada&#8217;s largest undergraduate management school.</p>
<p>The school&#8217;s undergraduate Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) programs are grouped into: Business Management, Information Technology Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, and Retail Management. Graduate studies are also offered and consist of: MBA with a global focus, MBA in the Management of Technology and Innovation, and Master of Management Science (MMSc) in the Management of Technology and Innovation.</p>

Seneca College educates more than 100,000 students, making it the largest college in Canada. The College has several campuses located in the Greater Toronto Area. The Newnham campus, located at finch and 404 highway, is the primary campus, with some administrative functions housed at the Markham campus. Seneca also has two residence buildings, a 1,000-bed residence located at Newnham Campus, and a 233-bed residence located at King Campus.</p>

<p>Seneca offers programs in over 260 fields of study. Some programs offer co-op options, while others include a mandatory co-op period prior to graduation. Work placement assistance to students upon graduation is also offered.</p>
<p>Seneca College also has more than 70 transfer agreements with universities throughout the world including countries such as Australia, Canada, England, South Africa, and the U.S.A. These agreements allow students to apply their college education to obtain credit towards a university degree.</p>

<p>Newnham Campus is the academic and administrative centre of Seneca College. Located on the north side of Finch Avenue at Hwy. 404 (Don Valley Parkway) and Finch Avenue East, Newnham Campus is one of the largest college campuses in Canada. It houses full-time and part-time programs in Applied Arts, Business and Technology, as well as the Seneca Student Residence.</p>

<p>Seneca&#8217;s 10-storey Markham Campus is a learning facility with electronic classrooms, a computer commons, library, cafeteria, fitness centre, book store and flexible student learning spaces. The Campus offers programs in Business Administration, Information Systems, General Business, Marketing, Marketing Administration, Brand Management, Business Intelligence, Interactive Marketing, Marketing Management, and Business Computer Studies.</p>
<p>Other non-business administration programs include Tourism and Travel, and Aviation and Flight Technology.</p>

<p>King City Campus Is housed in the Eaton Hall manor, which is located on 282 hectares of woods, lakes and fields, this campus offers students a broad range of study programs, including: Business, Early Childhood Education, Law Enforcement, Nursing, Social Service Worker (and Gerontology), Tourism Studies, Golf Course Technician, Environmental Landscape Management, Recreation and Leisure Services, Recreation Facility Management, and Veterinary Technician.</p>
<p>It is also offers training in the field of SCUBA and Surface Supplied Commercial Diving.</p>

<p><strong>Seneca at York University Campus</strong></p>
<p>Seneca  at York Campus includes the Stephen E. Quinlan Building and the Technology Enhanced Learning Building, situated on the Keele Campus of York University.</p>

<p><strong>Buttonville Airport campus</strong></p>
<p>Buttonville is the home of Seneca&#8217;s fleet of aircraft and flight training devices, utilized for training by students registered in the Aviation and Flight Technology Program. All in-flight training is undertaken through the facilities at the Buttonville Airport. Classroom-based instruction is divided between Markham and Buttonville Campuses.</p>

<p><strong>Jane campus</strong></p>
<p>Students on this campus are registered in pre-apprenticeship programs for Tool and Die Maker, Precision Machining and Mould Maker trades. The building can be seen from the westbound collector lanes of Highway 401.</p>

<p><strong>Newmarket campus</strong></p>
<p>The Newmarket Campus offers community-based services delivered by Seneca College, the YMCA and the Canadian Hearing Society (CHS). Programs include employment services for adults, academic upgrading and computer skills training. The YMCA offers youth programs and information on recreational activities and community programs. The CHS offers numerous support services for the hearing impaired in York Region.</p>

<p><strong>Yorkgate campus</strong></p>
<p>Students at the Yorkgate Campus can learn at their own pace with customized programs in academic upgrading and office systems. The Literacy and Basic Skills program is available, as are a variety of provincial and federal programs. The Employment Resource Centre offers assisted services and extended hours on evenings and Saturdays. The facility is located on the second floor of the Yorkgate Mall at Finch Avenue West and Jane Street.</p>

The college offers more than 66 diploma programs, as well as five degree programs, one in conjunction with Ryerson University. An additional 45 certificate programs and 33 post-graduate programs round out the college&#8217;s full-time offering.</p>

<p>There are also over 1,300 continuing education courses available. George Brown College educates about 15,000 full-time students, including 1,400 international students, as well as over 60,000 part-time and continuing education students.</p>
<p>Some of the wide variety of programs George Brown offers is art and design, business, community services, early childhood education, construction and engineering technologies, health sciences, hospitality and culinary arts, preparatory studies, as well as specialized programs and services for recent immigrants and international students.</p>
<p>George Brown is also the largest distance education college in Canada, with 12,000 students studying in over 30 countries. The most popular distance education program offered by the college is its award-winning Electronics Technician distance education program.</p>

Centennial College of Applied Arts and Technology is the oldest publicly funded community college in Ontario which was established in 1966. Its 4 campuses are located in the eastern part of the Greater Toronto Area. Centennial College is recognized as one of the most culturally diverse post-secondary institutions in Ontario. Almost 100 ethno-cultural groups are represented and 80 languages are spoken on campus.</p>

<p>The college offers more than 100 applied degrees, diploma and certificate programs on a full- and part-time basis in business, communication arts, community and consumer services, science and engineering technology, health and transportation. Centennial College supports enrolments of 14,500 full-time students and 25,000 part-time learners annually.</p>

<p><strong style="font-size: 13px;">Ashtonbee Campus</strong> &#8211; 75 Ashtonbee Road, Scarborough (near Warden Avenue-Eglinton Avenue area).</p>
<p>Ashtonbee is home to the largest training school for transportation technology in Canada. The college boasts industry partnerships with major manufacturers, including Honda/Acura, Toyota, General Motors, Ford, Volvo Trucks, Freightliner and Canadian Tire. The campus includes a fully functional aircraft hangar, licensed by Transport Canada, complete with a &#8220;fleet&#8221; of 10 aircraft which are used as training aids by the aircraft technician and avionics technician students.</p>

<p><strong style="font-size: 13px;">Centennial Science and Technology Centre</strong> &#8211; 755 Morningside Avenue, Morningside Avenue and Ellesmere Road area.</p>
<p> The newest campus opened in the summer of 2004 to house joint programs with the University of Toronto Scarborough. The campus is home to the Computer Science and Technology, health science and environmental science programs that the college offers. Some of the media arts programs are also offered here in partnership with UTSC across the street.</p>
