Etobicoke School of the Arts

Founded in 1981, Etobicoke School of the Arts (ESA) has the distinction of being the oldest, free standing arts focused school in Canada. With a population of over 900students, ESA offers a wide array of academic and artistic programs for students who successfully complete the audition process in the major of their choice, namely Dance, Drama, Film, Music Theatre, Music ( Band or Strings) or Visual Arts. As you might expect, the learning environment at ESA is vibrant, colourful, dynamic, engaging and welcoming. An indication of the quality of learning that is taking place can be seen and heard immediately upon your arrival at the school as the work of our students and the evidence of their success is prominently displayed throughout the hallways and classrooms within the school. Many students travel a great distance to be part of this specialized program.
