Downsview Secondary School

At Downsview Secondary School, we prepare our students for leadership and participation in the 21st century through a balanced academic, arts, business, computers, and technology program. Our students wear uniforms that reflect our high academic standards and expectations for student behaviour.

We challenge our students to strive for excellence. Studies in computer technology are enhanced by the many up-to-date computer labs. Biotechnology is incorporated into all our science courses, and our senior science students have won awards at recent Connaught Biotechnology Exhibitions. The Accelerated Reader Program, the Test for Success Program, the science Mentorship Program, and a variety of co-op programs help students to realize their potential. The Student Services, Learning Centre, Special Education and English as a Second Language departments all provide additional supports for our students.
