Delphi Secondary Alternative School

Delphi Secondary Alternative School (formerly ASE 2) is an alternative program that offers only Academic courses in grades 9 and 10, as well as Grade 11 and 12 courses leading to university and college. Small classes, independent and group learning, extensive computer use, and an integrated approach to curriculum are important features of the program.

Delphi S.A.S. is designed for self-motivated, independent, and intellectually curious learners who enjoy a challenge and demonstrate a commitment to learning, and who are responsible and capable of handling decreased structure. The timetable combines regularly scheduled, compulsory classes with research periods so those students can direct more time to independent and collaborative study. Problem-Based Learning (PBL) a teaching method used by McMaster University's Medical School and Harvard's Business School is one of the learning strategies used to promote critical thinking and problem solving skills.
