Central Commerce Collegiate serves a population that includes students from almost every ethnic background in the city. A school culture has developed that reflects the diversity of our students. It is a school where all students feel comfortable, welcome, and safe. Our teachers, support staff, and students work to maintain and develop a caring community where everyone is a valued member of the Central Commerce family. High expectations are set for our students and they are supported to acheive these expectations.

Central Commerce was founded in 1916 as a school of business and commerce. Over the years it has developed into a composite school that offers a broad range of programs. Business studies remains a strong focus, and this program is now complemented by a full range of core academic subjects, computer classes, music, art, drama, and health and physical education. Courses are offered at the University, University/College and College levels for grade 12 students. Most of our graduates proceed to post-secondary education at university or college. Grade 11 offerings at the university, college or open levels allow for a range of post-secondary destination planning.
