Cedarbrae Collegiate Institute, one of the largest facilities in the Toronto District School Board, offers strong academic courses, unique and special programs, and an exceptional range of co-curricular activities. In meeting the needs of a diverse, multicultural community, we strive to foster mutual respect, to encourage participation, and to develop life skills.

Cedarbrae has a 45-year tradition of excellence in core subject areas , including mathematics, English, science, languages, and social sciences. There is a complete range of business, and computer courses. The school also offers communications, transportation and construction Tech . We have a specialized commercial and fine- arts program, including illustration, information design, drawing and painting, desktop publishing.

Our school has a reputation for dramatic and musical presentations at the school and at the Sears and Kiwanis festivals. Dramatic arts, drama technology, instrumental music, vocal music, and music theatre are also available. We have developed an Entertainment Technology Special Program for students who are interested in careers in theatre and film working behind the scenes. Our co-op students have found placements with CBC, TVO, Rogers and other radio and TV stations. Co-op education is available in almost every subject in the school. Many of the placements lead students into areas for post-secondary study at apprenticeship, college and university levels.
