Brilliance at The National Ballet of Canada

A dream helped Celia Franca bring to life the National Ballet of Canada in 1951. Celebrating its 60th anniversary is as remarkable as the reaction one would get when entering the setting. Attention to detail is visible at this venue; neatly uniformed employees are present, opening doors, assisting with tickets and pushing elevator digits.

The National Ballet flourishes because it is fueled by organization. The main concession station is heavily stocked with an assortment of snacks, sandwiches and sweets. The beverages vary from water, juices and soft drinks to alcoholic drinks, beer and wine. Smaller stands are located on other floors as well. As far as performances go, plenty of spaces are available at this site, here is a seating map:

According to the company website, Canada’s premier dance company has performed for over 10 million people. The National Ballet performs annual Fall, Winter and Summer seasons plus The Nutcracker. I had the pleasure of attending the closing night concert of The Nutcracker. The orchestra situated right under the stage played perfectly to every command of conductor Nathan Brock. The display of creative sets and costumes along with the choreography of the dancers was spectacular.

This is a great place for people of all ages; children seem to behave, while adults are entertained. Art lovers of all sorts and first time visitors alike can appreciate this venue.  For classical and contemporary ballet, the National Ballet of Canada is the definite destination.
